Accessibility statement

We build tools people have to use at work, so a site nobody can use would be a poor advertisement. Here is where we stand, including what isn't finished.

Version 1.0 Last reviewed 11 August 2026 Target: WCAG 2.1 level AA

1. Our commitment

The U-Shaped House LLC is committed to making clicauto.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, magnify the page, need reduced motion, or rely on high contrast.

We treat accessibility as part of the build rather than a retrofit, and we treat this statement as a live document: when we find a barrier, it goes in section 4 until it's fixed.

2. Standard applied

We aim for WCAG 2.1 level AA, the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and by EN 301 549. This site is, to the best of our assessment, substantially conformant: it meets level AA with the exceptions listed in section 4.

This is a self-assessment carried out by the team that built the site. It has not been audited by an independent third party, and we would rather tell you that than imply a certification we don't hold.

3. What we've done

  • Semantic structure. Real headings in order, landmarks, lists and tables with proper header cells, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
  • Keyboard operation. Every control — navigation, menu, fit check answers, expandable questions, forms — is reachable and operable by keyboard alone. There are no keyboard traps.
  • Visible focus. A high-contrast focus ring on every interactive element, never removed.
  • Skip link. The first tab stop jumps past the header to the main content.
  • Contrast. All body and interface text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 ratio required at AA; large text and non-text indicators meet 3:1. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
  • Reduced motion. With the operating-system “reduce motion” setting on, animations, the typing effect and the scrolling logo strip are disabled and content appears immediately.
  • Live regions. The fit check conversation is announced politely as it updates, and error messages are announced when they appear.
  • Forms. Every field has a persistent, programmatically associated label. Errors are described in text, marked on the field, and never signalled by colour alone.
  • Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to 320 pixels wide and supports 200% zoom without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
  • Images. Meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • No time limits. Nothing on the site expires, times out or moves on without you. The fit check waits indefinitely.
  • Language. Page language is declared so screen readers pronounce content correctly.
  • Print. Legal pages print legibly in black on white, with link destinations spelled out.

4. Known limitations

We're aware of the following and are working on them:

  • The fit check requires JavaScript. With scripts disabled, the conversation cannot run. A visible alternative is offered in its place — a direct link to book a call — and email works in every case.
  • The client logo strip scrolls automatically. It pauses on hover and on keyboard focus and stops entirely under reduced motion, but it has no explicit pause button. It carries no information not available elsewhere on the page.
  • Third-party pages are outside our control. The scheduling page and the review platform we link to are governed by their own accessibility standards. If either blocks you, email us and we will arrange the same outcome directly.
  • The site is currently English-only. We work in French as well, so if that is a barrier, write to us in French and you'll get a reply in French.

5. How we test

  • Keyboard-only walkthrough of every page and every step of the fit check and scorecard.
  • Contrast ratios calculated from the source colour values rather than estimated by eye.
  • Automated structural checks on headings, labels, alternative text and landmarks.
  • Verification with the operating-system reduced-motion setting enabled.
  • Layout checked at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom.

We review this statement whenever the site changes materially, and at least once a year.

6. Alternative ways to reach us

Nothing on this site is the only route to us. If any part of it gets in your way, email contact@clicauto.com and describe your situation in whatever form suits you — plain text, a voice note, a phone call at a time you arrange. We will take your enquiry through the same process, manually, and you lose nothing by skipping the fit check.

7. Tell us about a barrier

If you hit something that doesn't work, we want to know. Email contact@clicauto.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line and, if you can, the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use.

We acknowledge reports within 5 working days and aim to fix or offer a workaround within 20 working days. If we can't, we'll tell you why and what the alternative is.

If our response doesn't satisfy you, you may raise the matter with the accessibility enforcement or market surveillance body designated in your country. We will cooperate fully with any such enquiry.
